We keep our supply chain small and work with a limited number of trusted partners. Our swimwear is made using recycled fabric and produced in China, where both our fabric and manufacturing partners are based. Keeping everything in one place allows us to stay close to the process and maintain consistency in how things are made.

How It Works

We work with two main suppliers - one produces our recycled fabric, and the other prints, cuts and makes our swimwear. We’ve worked with them for a number of years now, building steady relationships over time. As a small brand, that continuity is important to us.

Standards

Our fabric supplier holds GRS certification, which tracks recycled materials through the supply chain. Our manufacturing partner is audited against the BSCI Code of Conduct, which covers working conditions, pay, health and safety, and workers’ rights.

Our Way of Working

Batoko has always been a small, independent business. We don’t own the factories we work with, but we choose our partners carefully and keep things simple. We produce in small runs, stay close to the process, and focus on making things well.
